Yes, I really liked the way you opened the podcast with the "weather report"
I wanted to second your point about how these "climate" recommendations can be applied outside the classroom. I think that many of them are just as useful to think about for parents. As parents we can't think of ourselves just as "behavior modifiers" - rewarding some behaviors and punishing others. We have to spend (I hate to say it, but...) quality time with our children in which we just have fun, ask them questions, etc., so that we have a relationship with them. This way children will actually want to behave well in our classes (homes).
Anyway, as I say, I found the podcast full of really good info.
